What was Audrey’s relationship with her Grandchildren, especially Emma Ferrer?

Audrey Hepburn has never seen her grandchildren. She died on January 1993 from appendix cancer and her first grandchild Emma Ferrer was born in 1994, only a year after Hepburn’s death.

Even though these two ladies have never met personally, they have a lot of things in common. One of the most similar things between the two is the look. Emma Ferrer, who did her first ever photo shoot as a fashion model, surprised most of Audrey Hepburn fans for her stunning look and how much she resembled her grandmother. Sean Hepburn Ferrer

Sean Hepburn Ferrer was always going to have a career in the film industry. A keen student of the arts and a huge fan of his mother, he took to the industry like a duck to water. Among A-listers he has worked with include Michael Fox, California ex-Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, John Ritter and his very own mother. He also wrote a book about his mother titled “An Elegant Spirit” and is an accomplished humanitarian, founding the Audrey Hepburn Children’s Fund. He later relinquished the reigns to Luca Dotti, his younger half-brother, as he went on to become the Honorary Chair of the Audrey Hepburn Society for UNICEF under the US Fund. He had three marriages to Marina Spadafora, Leila Flannigan and Giovanna Gregori that failed. He is currently married for a fourth time to Karin Hoffer.

Sean Hepburn went on to have three children namely Santiago, Gregorio and Emma Ferrer. The eldest of the three is model and art student Emma. She is feted for the natural poise and beauty her mother possessed and is already a hit in front of the lens. Born in 1994, she looks the best placed relative to the legend’s throne of incomparable beauty. She has already graced the cover of Harpers’ Bazaar in August 2014 and has a bright future ahead of her. While Emma is the daughter of Sean and first wife Leila Flannigan, her brothers are from another mother, Gregori Giovanna. Luca Dotti

Luca Dotti is the other son of Audrey Hepburn from her second marriage to Andrea Dotti. He is a more modest man with a real satisfaction about life. He informed the public how little he knew of his mother’s fame when he said she only worked hard in humanitarian service before coming home to be a mum. The lad is quoted as saying his dream home would be a house with a garden, one which he fulfilled, and he wishes to stay away from the spotlight. He wrote a book about his mum’s favorite memory which is titled “Audrey at Home, Memories Of My Mother’s Kitchen”. He is married to Domitilla Dotti.

The Audrey Hepburn legacy goes beyond her acting awards, humanitarian impact and flair for dressing and looking the part. She is portrayed as a woman of huge influence to a generation and this is all the more clear once her family lineage is traced. Her children are humanitarians and accomplished artists with food and film and their children are steeped in the family culture. Despite numerous marriages and divorces, the spirit of love and care is evident in the Hepburn, Dotti and Ferrer households, no doubt inspired by their famous mother and grandmother. Why and How did Audrey get such a cute Deer?

Her choice in an animal companion proves unusual and strange for a multitude of people, fans, and Hollywood historians alike. But what are the details behind the Audrey Hepburn deer? How did she acquire it? What was their relationship like? Discover the details behind one of the most ageless icons in American history and one of her more subtle differences that separated her from most of our idols.

During 1959, Hepburn was on the set of Green Mansions for filming. An animal trainer had a baby deer, or fawn, present as one of the animals to be used during the scenes. Since Hepburn would likely be interacting with the animal a great deal, the trainer requested that she take him home with her as a means of creating a trusting relationship.

Audrey Bonds with Pippen the Deer

This would provide a believable relationship on screen, as well as provide the animal loving actress some quality time with a furry friend offset. What better way to wind down after a day of filming and shooting than with a cute animal? Most of you would likely agree, as did Hepburn. The fawn’s name was Pippin, and was very clear to onlookers that, from day one, he and Hepburn had a special bond. Nicknamed Ip,’ Pippin proved to be a very special companion for the Hollywood starlet.

Of course, Hepburn took him home for bonding. She enjoyed his company so much, that she allowed him to sleep comfortably in her custom made bathtub. Sometimes, the inseparable pair would even sleep together, with reports of them cuddling up to each other for affection and warmth. Multiple photographs display Hepburn and her companion, with the actress smiling as though nothing could bring her happiness back, and the deer appearing perfectly content and comfortable to be in her company.

Even newsreels took part in their story, with headlines calling Pippin her co-star.’ Headlines proclaimed Co Star Wins Heart of Actress Audrey Hepburn.’ Some photos even depicted the two having fun with other people together, with one picture showing Audrey with a beer bottle in her hand, pretending to give the little deer a taste. Of course, she was only pretending, and provided only the best possible care for Pippin.

Mr Famous Jealous of the new kid on the block: Pippen?

Unfortunately, as with any circumstance, a little negativity did seep into Hepburn’s relationship with her favorite snuggle buddy. Her yorkshire terrier, Mr. Famous, had some jealousy issues regarding her relationship with the deer. As a European deer, Pippin would eventually grow up to his full size of up to four feet. Despite his size, his attachment to Hepburn made him one of the guests of honor at a number of different events, including parties.

Audrey, the Deer, and the Grocery Store

Sometimes, Hepburn even went to the grocery store with Pippin at her side. One of the photographers that documented some of Hepburn’s private life and time spent on set managed to capture some of these surprising but heartwarming moments. He said of their relationship, “It was truly amazing to see Audrey with that fawn.” Some people even believe that the deer may have thought Hepburn was its mother. Others state that perhaps Hepburn’s natural state of calm drew its affections.

While Audrey enjoyed the company of a number of other animals, including Mr. Famous, Yorkshire terrier Asam of Asam, and a cocker spaniel that went by Cokey, one of the most interesting talking points of her private life proved to Pippin. Hepburn would probably agree that he was one of her favorite companions, co-stars, and backstage buddies. However, not much else is known about the relationship between Pippin and Hepburn.

While some photos exist of the two performing everything from mundane tasks of grocery shopping or walking down the street together, no research really turns up what became of the deer. Did it continue to live with Hepburn once it grew to its full size? Was she able to continue providing a loving, affectionate, and attentive life for the fawn? The only photos available include those from when the deer was very small, and some from when it grew a little bigger – knee height to be exact. Yet, no images show Audrey and her full grown deer.

What happened to the Audrey Hepburn Deer?

There is some speculation about what happened to the deer, but no hard facts. Some say Hepburn had to give the deer back to the trainer after the movie was completed. Others suggest that perhaps she no longer had much time for the deer. It is not uncommon for people to acquire pets that they are not prepared to provide sufficient time for. This can become even more likely when the situation involves an exotic pet – such as a deer. Once fully grown, deer require a paddock or fenced area in which they may graze and move about freely.

It can be very difficult to keep a deer fenced in properly, as they are prone to leaping overgreat heights. Not to mention, deer are very difficult to train, even when they are raised from being a fawn. While deer, especially female ones, can often be kept as pets, they require special care and handling. Did Hepburn realize that she was not capable of providing this? Or perhaps, since it is often speculated that Pippin was male, the deer grew horns and tended toward its instinctive aggression.

We can only imagine the difficulty of handling a creature nearly as large as a person with sharp antlers that can prove to perform as weapons. The fate of Pippin is a mystery shrouded in speculation, and no one is really sure what became of him. However, the photographer, maid, and many other witnesses agree that Hepburn and Pippin enjoyed a pleasant, refreshing relationship, while complimenting each others’ personalities.

“She was crazy about the pasta,” her younger son, Luca Dotti, 45, remembers in an exclusive story in this week’s issue of PEOPLE. Luca Dotti has authored a new book called, Audrey at Home, which showcases her cooking recipes, over 250 lovely photos and best memories of his charming mother. “She would eat it [pasta] almost every day,” he notes. “Her absolute favorite was spaghetti with tomato sauce. She could live on that alone.”

Regarding Chocolate, her Son Luca states, “She ate it every day.  A bite or sometimes more. She had a special drawer in the house where she would put her chocolate and it was forbidden to touch. She would get upset if someone finished it before her. Chocolate was her favorite pick-me-up.”  This was Audrey Hepburn’s Favorite Chocolate.

Don’t Over-eat – Eat till your 80% full

Eat Consistently, Never Skip Breakfast

Never Skip Breakfast. Audrey Hepburn ate three meals а day; shе hаd а diet оf protein, whоlе grains, pasta, dairy, аnd fresh vegetables. Ѕhе didn’t snack аnd оnlу rarely ate dessert. Оnе оf hеr favorite dishes wаs spaghetti wіth lots оf pomodoro sauce. Ехсерt fоr hеr daily bit оf chocolate, Audrey didn’t eat muсh dessert. Take plenty of Naps

Audrey Hepburn wаs knоwn tо vаluе hеr rest. Аs аn actress, shе developed thе habit оf tаkіng afternoon naps tо kеер uр thе energy shе needed fоr long hours оf work. Ѕhе kерt uр thіs habit, аnd lіkеd tо follow uр hеr refreshing nap wіth оnе bite оf chocolate. Јust оnе, mind уоu.

Audrey Hepburn wasn’t knоwn fоr hеr athletic abilities, аlthоugh shе wаs а distinguished ballerina which was one of the reasons why she moved so gracefully. Ѕhе didn’t work оut wіth а personal trainer аnd shе didn’t lift weights. Іnstеаd shе tооk long walks everyday. Ѕhе аlsо enjoyed gardening.

Audrey Hepburn Detox Program:

This is an important part in the Audrey Hepburn Diet because she swore by detoxing at least once a month.  It was Audrey Hepburn’s Golden Rule.

One Day out of the month do the following:

• Drink at least a gallon of water
• Eat plain Yogurt as
• Eat 1 apple for each meal

Listen to your Body

If you are tired, don’t push through your tiredness. Your body is telling you that you need sleep to repair itself, so you need to listen to it.

If your body isn’t hungry for a favorite type of food after eating it too many times… your body is telling you something. (obviously don’t i’m not talking about candy and sugar! But I’m talking about healthy foods)

“My mother was very good at listening to her body. She was lucky with her physique but she had normal plates of pasta. Mum had a serious pasta addiction. She couldn’t do without pasta.”

I’ve been in your shoes trying to lose weight.  What the most frustrating thing is that whatever you try never seems to work.  Here are some great tips to lose weight that you might not have heard.

• Eat consistently – Don’t Binge eat, and don’t go for days without eating. Get on a schedule that your body can adapt to instead of trying to guess what you’re doing.
• Intermittent Fasting – There are some really promising studies that have come out that say that intermittent fasting (fasting short periods like a meal) is great for your body, paired with exercise.
• Garcinia Cambogia – Haven’t tried it yet, but I’ve heard good things about it.
• Green Coffee Bean Plus – Controls  hunger & Increases metabolism
• Sheer Thermo – Natural way to accelerate burning fat and metabolism
• Cellulite Brush – Doesn’t solve it 100% but it helps out.
• Hot Cream for Cellulite – Gid rid of that nasty cellulite.  This doesn’t get rid of everything, but it helps the process

However, Let’s not try to be “skinny”… let’s try to be HEALTHY.

The psychology and power of the human mind is unfathomable.  We really don’t know how powerful it is.  Being Happy will benefit your body physically.  Your thoughts are energy.  Could you be controlling your body on a cellular level without knowing it?  Are your thoughts manifesting themselves?  Accept yourself and who you are and stop being so hard on yourself.   Audrey Hepburn was a big advocate in being happy.  Her famous quote, “Happy girls are the prettiest girls” is true.
